Dishonored: The Golden Cat

Absolutely great work! You have the keen skewed perspective of M. C. Escher, an extraordinarily precise, and detailed talent rarely seen. You seem to be able to transcend the laws of physics in your art as if God lifted His hand and revoked His Word that kept the world round. This piece you refer to as being you personal view of The Golden Cat (from Dishonored), and while not being a gamer myself I did take a look at some clips from the game and understood the inspiration you gathered, resulting in this work. Forever challenged by perspective myself, your ability to mix architecture with (in this case) a vaguely abstract view, causes the eye to feel just a bit intoxicated and I found myself having to stare a second or two to decide if it was drawn purposely to trick they eye, or was I feeling just a bit woozy. I love stereograms, and, having a trained eye with which to view them, this piece's many lines and angles allow one to see a unique depth by using the technique employed in viewing one (although this isn't a sterogram). Of your work which include building exteriors, this was my favorite finding myself wanting to take a walk inside your world. Excellent work! Joanne Baumeister Turner
